The National Telecommunications Commission opened sales the 3G licence. No foreign companies applied in light of the regulator's recent declaration that it intended to curb "foreign dominance" in the sector. But of the eight applicants, two will have Asian telecom operators as their strategic partners. The applicants are Advanced Info Service (AIS), Total Access Communication (DTAC), and True Move and SK Wireless - a subsidiary of parent True Corp. Samart I-Mobile and Loxley are providing 3G services for TOT. However, only five companies will be eligible to submit bids as the major three mobile operators must decide to use only one entity each for bidding.
In my view, I agree with them that the 3G will be used in Thailand. On the other hand, they do not have the exact conclusion who will have occupy it. However, I want Thai people to growth as other countries.
